For the purpose of fostering and developing the young talents, students of  University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; training intensively and enhancing knowledge, professional skills according to the international standards; bringing opportunities for having international job qualifications and bachelor degree to promote career opportunities for students after graduation; combining academic and professional career training in finance and accounting; meeting  market needs better when Viet Nam joins ASEAN Economic Community, Faculty of Accounting and Auditing of University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in co-operation with Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) carries out the “Excellent student training” project and “Prepare to Shine” scholarship program starting in April 2016.

-ICAEW  founded in 1880 is the oldest professional accounting association in England and Wales with headquarter in London, UK

-ICAEW has over 140,000 Chartered Accountants in over 165 countries in the world.

-ICAEW is a founding member of GAA (The Global Accounting Alliance), represents over 800,000 members of 11 leading accounting associations in 180 countries in the world, includes: AICPA, CAI, CPA Canada, HKICPA, ICAA, ICAEW, ICAS, IDW, JICPA, NZICA, SAICA).

-ICAEW is the association providing the first official training program of Chartered Accountants in Vietnam.

The “PREPARE TO SHINE” scholarship program, co-operation between University of Economics and Law and ICAEW for 30 excellent students, includes:

1.FEES:

International student enrollment: 165 British pounds (VND 5,775,000)

Exams of 6 ICAEW CFAB subjects: 420 British pounds (VND 14,700,000)

2.TUITION FEES:

ICAEW and Faculty of Accounting and Auditing support 100 percent tuition fees of  “Management accounting” subject. (VND 7,000,000)

3.BOOKS:

A set of original books (according to learning process) whose value is 180 British pounds (VND 6,300,000)

4. CAREER SKILLS:

Opportunities for attending skill classes, reality trips, internship programs in companies

ELIGIBILITY:

• Passion and determination for Accounting, Auditing and Finance career;
• Never getting any scholarships from other career organizations in 2015-2016;
• Finishing entire course with the maximum time is 18 months since program attendance
• Informing about results and the next orientation for Faculty of Accounting and Auditing once every 6 months;
• Reimburse the minimum fees 265pounds if stop learning without legitimate reasons;
