On April 6th, 2016, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing (FAA), University of Economics and Law held a conference with the theme “Improving the quality of education in Accounting and Auditing in the age of integration”. Attending the meeting, there were the presence of Dr. Nguyen ThiLanAnh – Dean of FAA, Dr. La Xuan Dao – Chairwoman of Academic Advisory Counciland all staffs of department. In addition, there were also presence of representatives from E&Y Vietnam, Deloitte Vietnam, DTL Auditing Company, Phan Dung Auditing Company, FPT Corporation, MoL Vietnam, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, etc.

This is a practical activities in order toimprove the quality of educating in accounting and auditing at the university. The conference played an important role in the situation that the business environment and the legal system of accounting and auditing have always developed to catch up with general international standards and to meet the requirements of the current economic development.

The conference concentrated on innovating teaching methods and curriculum, enhancing education network with enterprisesin order to meet the requirement of employers. Furthermore, enterprises and employers suggested that the university should provide appropriate curriculum, which combine the academic knowledge with soft skills and attitude of students to adapt to the age of integration.
