On Oct. 24^th, 2014, Department of Accounting and Auditing hosted a meeting with students to share research experience and inspire students to participate in research activities.

Attending the meeting, from Department of Accounting and Auditing, there is the presence of:

- MSc. Nguyen Thi Khoa, Faculty

- Dr. Phan Thi Hong Duc, Faculty

- MBA. Nguyen Hoang Dieu Hien, Faculty

- MBA. Le Ngoc Huong Tra, Faculty

- MSc Truong Thi Hanh Dung, Faculty

- The majority of K11 to K14 students

To encourage students in participating in research activities, practicing their critical thinking and research skills and developing their interests, the Department of Accounting and Auditing has launched a Student Campaign for Scientific Research with a number of awards and many other forms of motivation.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh said that research activities have been always encouraged and supported by UEL in general and Department of Accounting-Auditing in particular. Through this seminar, students actively sent a great number of questions about some difficulties and misunderstanding they are dealing with in research field. Most of the questions concerned about the following issues:

1. Topic searching and its feasibility
2. The research implementation plan
3. Role of the Research Advisers

These students’ inquiries were answered thoroughly by the Vice Dean and the teachers. Lastly, the Faculty expects to receive more comments and contributions of students and hopes that after the dialogue, the students will be equipped well enough to cope with the urgent need in scientific researching. 

Moreover, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh also introduced a scholarship awarded annually from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) for Graduates in Department of Accounting and Auditing. This scholarship covers full tuition fee for a two-year MBA course in EKU, which costs approximately above $40,000.
